Platinum TCG (“Platinum TCG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website to list Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering cards, sealed product, and buy requests, to buy bulk collections from sellers, and to post job openings. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

This is a general-audience policy written for a small, collector-run shop, not a substitute for legal advice. If you need this policy to meet a specific regulatory framework, have a lawyer review it before relying on it as a compliance document.

We collect very little, and only what's needed to run the store. Specifically:

• Buy requests. If you submit the Request an item form, we collect your name, email address, the game, product type, a description of what you're looking for, and an optional budget. We use this only to source or list the item and to follow up with you about that request.
• Contact form. If you use our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, subject, and message, and email it directly to our team so we can respond. It isn't stored in our database — it exists only as that one email.
• Bulk offers. If you submit the Sell your bulk page, we collect your name, email address, an optional phone number, the game(s) and estimated size of what you have, a description, and any photos you choose to attach. If we follow up about your offer, messages exchanged in that conversation are stored the same way. We use this only to evaluate and respond to your offer.
• Job applications. If you apply to a posting on our Careers page, we collect what a normal job application asks for: your name, email, phone, resume, and optionally a cover letter, education history, and work experience. We also collect your answers to standard work-eligibility and legal questions (age, work authorization, visa sponsorship, background-check consent) and your typed signature. Race, gender, veteran, and disability information on that form is entirely voluntary, is used only in aggregate for equal-opportunity reporting, and doesn't affect your application either way. We use this information only to evaluate you for the role you applied to.
• Card clicks. When you click a card to go buy it, we log which card, which page it was clicked from (Inventory or Home), and when — this is what powers our internal “which cards get the most interest” stats. It's never linked to your name, email, or any other way of identifying you; it's just a record that a click on that card happened. We also briefly use your IP address at the moment of the click, purely to avoid double-counting a rapid re-click as two separate visits (see the next bullet) — that IP isn't stored alongside the click record itself.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log standard request information (such as IP address, browser, and pages requested) for security and operational purposes. We also briefly use your IP address to apply rate limits — for example, capping sign-in attempts, buy-request submissions, and the double-click check on card clicks described above — to keep the forms from being abused. That IP-based data is short-lived (on the order of minutes to a day) and is not linked to your name or email.
• Staff accounts. Employees who manage the store sign in with a name, email, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text). This is internal account data for people who work here — it isn't collected from customers or site visitors.

This matters as much as what we do collect:

• No payment information. Checkout happens entirely on the marketplace each listing links out to. Platinum TCG never sees or stores your card number, billing address, or order history — that data belongs to, and is governed by the privacy policy of, whichever marketplace you complete the purchase on.
• No customer accounts. There's no login, password, or saved profile for browsing or buying — the site is browse-and-link-out by design.
• No third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We don't run Google Analytics, ad pixels, or any cross-site tracking script, and nothing here is shared with an ad network or data broker. The card-click logging described above is ours alone, stays on our own systems, and isn't tied to you as a person — it's not the kind of tracking this bullet is about. If we ever add real third-party analytics or advertising, we'll update this policy first.

The only cookie this site sets is a single session cookie, and only after a staff member signs in to the admin dashboard — it keeps them signed in and is marked HttpOnly, so it can't be read by page scripts. If you're browsing the storefront, requesting an item, or looking through inventory, no cookie is set on your device.

• To respond to and work a buy request you submit.
• To respond to a message sent through our contact form.
• To evaluate a bulk offer you submit and reach out about it.
• To evaluate a job application you submit and reach out about it.
• To understand which cards and pages get the most interest, using card-click and buy-request data in aggregate — internal reporting only, never to identify an individual visitor.
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse of our forms (rate limiting).
• To operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the site.
• To comply with legal obligations, if we're ever required to.

We don't sell your information. We share it in a few limited cases:

• Service providers. We use third-party infrastructure providers to host our database, send emails on our behalf (like a contact-form message or a buy-request update), store files you upload (like a resume or bulk-offer photos), and run rate limiting. They process data on our behalf, under their own security practices, and don't use it for their own purposes.
• Marketplaces you check out on. When you buy something through a listing, you're transacting directly with that marketplace, not us — whatever you provide there is covered by that marketplace's own privacy policy, not this one.
• If required by law. We may disclose information if legally required to, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Platinum TCG, our staff, or others.

We keep buy request information for as long as reasonably useful for our internal records — including after a request is fulfilled or declined — so we have a history of what's been asked for. Bulk offer information (including any photos you send and any messages exchanged about it) is kept for as long as reasonably useful for our internal records, including after an offer is accepted or declined. Job application information (including your resume) is kept for as long as reasonably useful for hiring purposes, including after a role is filled or your application is declined, so we have a record of who's applied. Contact form messages aren't stored in our database at all — they exist only as the email we receive. You can ask us to delete your buy request, bulk offer, or job application information at any time; see Your choices below. Card-click records are kept indefinitely for historical reporting — since they were never tied to your identity to begin with, there's no individual record of yours to look up or delete. Short-lived rate-limit / double-click data (tied only to an IP address, not your identity) expires automatically within minutes to a day.

You can email us at support@platinum-tcg.com to ask what information we have tied to your name or email, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA — we'll do our best to honor a reasonable request regardless of where you're located.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold — staff passwords are hashed (never stored in plain text), and access to the admin dashboard is limited to staff accounts with role-based permissions. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we don't collect more than we need in the first place.

We may update this policy as the site changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.

This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions, except where applicable law requires otherwise based on where you live.
